Mr. Robinson attended the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and Clemson University. In 1988, he graduated from Clemson University cum laude with a bachelor degree in economics. He was a member of the Calhoun College honor society and an Edgar A. Brown merit scholar. In 1991, Mr. Robinson graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law with honors. While attending the University of Georgia Law School, he was accepted onto the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
In January 1992, Mr.Robinson began his legal career as an associate with the law firm Wiseman, Blackburn & Futrell in Savannah, Georgia. He later joined the law firm Friedman, Dever & Merlin, LLC, in Atlanta, where he practiced from 1994 to May of 2004. During his years of law practice, Mr. Robinson has honed his skills in litigation throughout the state and federal courts in Georgia. Mr. Robinson’s practice has included insurance coverage disputes, contract fraud litigation, and serious injury and death cases. Mr.Robinson has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and has successfully argued multiple appellate decisions.
In May of 2004, Mr. Robinson began practicing as “of counsel” to the law firm of Dietrick, Evans, Scholz & Williams, LLC. Since that time, he has expanded his insurance litigation practice in order to focus on representing and assisting individuals who are wrongfully denied disability insurance benefits or who have had their benefits wrongfully terminated by insurance companies, including insurance companies acting as plan administrators for group employment benefits. He has developed a detailed knowledge of disability insurance and ERISA law. In addition, Mr. Robinson represents claimants who have been denied life insurance and retirement benefits and continues to represent individuals who have been seriously injured or disabled due to the negligence or reckless acts of others or who are the victims of fraudulent practices.
Mr. Robinson is a member of the State Bar of Georgia – Tort and Insurance Section and the Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts located in Georgia, including the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, as well the United States Circuit Court for the 6th Circuit.
